Lukáš Plaček, Ph.D.

Mr. Plaček graduated from the Institute of Chemical Technology in Prague in Analytical Chemistry and in Measurement Engineering in Chemical and Food Industry and received his Ph.D. degree from the Faculty of Pharmacy in Brno. He dealt with development and design of biosensors for electronic noses and tongues with consequent mathematical signal processing. For several years he worked in the R&D Division of the pharmaceutical company Zentiva (now a part of Sanofi group) where he developed the methods of capillary electrophoresis (CE) for separation of APIs and excipients and mass spectrometry (MS) as an analytical tool of identification and quantification of main components and impurities in mixtures (in combination GC-MS and LC-MS). At present Mr. Plaček works as a product specialist in organic analysis in Pragolab, a Czech representative of the world leader in scientific equipment Thermo Fisher Scientific. He is a co-author of a number of patents, scientific publications and conference contributions.
